Skill Up! trade identification workshop (Virtual) (17-20 Aug, 2020)

Identification and selection of potential trade is crucial for business enterprise development. While trying to identify a suitable trade in Skill Up project, the intended beneficiary / consumer shall adopt certain processes. At certain point, the potential entrepreneur may find one trade as an opportunity and may be attracted to, but at the other point he/she may dislike and turn down and may think of finding another trade as an opportunity. This process of making choice and then immediately looking for alternatives may put them into problem if the trade or product is not selected carefully.
In this background, four days virtual training on Skill Up! trade identification was organized by WHH for Skill UP! Nepal and India project staff. The training was facilitated by Civil Society Academy. The main objective of the training was to:
- Identify key strategies to develop according to national and regional context.
- Identify high potential/performing trades (4 to 5 high Potential Trades),
- Develop customer personas, customer journey and clearly identify youth pain -gain points (For 4 -5 Customer Personas and their Journey) ,
- Develop value chain and key competencies of a trade (all is not possible in one workshop and,
- Develop a skill canvas.(Skill Canvas is developed)
